Who's more elite? Delta force was supposedly started by an American who was in the SAS. Has Delta been confirmed to exist?

Delta was modeled after the SAS. Charlie Beckwith started Delta but was not a member of the SAS he only trained with them.

Doesn't really tell you which is better. I'd put my bets on Delta considering the large pool of differently specialised SOF they take from. I'm sure a large amount of Americnas have also been through SAS training. Knowing this i'm sure each unit is better at someting different. Delta Counter-terrorism close quarters... I bet SAS have people with ugodly abilities to trek huge distances.

I guess we'll never know, I sure as hell don't.

Guys, this is stupid. Both units have some very very highly trained men operating within their ranks. I'd hate to go up against either one.

Yeah, Delta was modeled after the British SAS. Not only that, who do you think wrote the Delta training manuals?

Although, as far as experience goes, the SAS are the most proven special operations unit out there. Shit, they've been around since WW2. I'm just glad we're both on the same side.

I don't know. I have no idea what training manuals delta uses. Or who wrote the current ones. I have heard both units work extremely close. You'd think they'd strive to improve on past SAS criteria. Can't argue with track record though.

Glad both are on the same side, agreed
