Really?
But how does the conservative network feel about Republicans blocking the bill? As Stewart showed, Fox news hasn't gotten one 9/11 first responder to talk about why they need the Zadroga Bill. in fact, only one network actually picked up the story in a meaningful way: Al Jazeera.
Pathetic.

Well, I never want to feed the troll, because, oh what a nasty fuckin troll he is.
But this honestly is pathetic. It makes me angry to see things like this happen just because of the party that they are affiliated with. When it comes time to vote, you cannot tell me that they all vote the way they think they should vote, they vote on things based on "I'm a Republican, I have to vote No on this one." They should vote on this bill not as Republicans or Democrats, but as Americans. Give some help to the people who saved lives on that horrific day, and make their Christmas just a little better.
I'm a conservative, but before that I am an American. And I feel that we owe these heroes more respect and thanks than what they have been getting.
Pass the fucking bill.

The republicans frequently use 9/11 as a pretense or justification for their policies; look no further than the Iraq War for an example.
And yet when there's a chance for a real bi-partisan act of cooperation and patriotism, the GOP shuts it down under the pretense of giving tax cuts to rich people. What a f***ing disgrace to the country they were elected to serve.
Honestly, I considered myself politically neutral, but this has totally swayed my opinion away from the republican party.

The party system is completely screwed up in my opinion. I think there should be no parties at all. You should vote for the candidate who's policies agree with yours. And when it comes time to vote on things such as the Zadroga Bill, they can vote however they feel like voting, instead of being pressured to vote in one way instead of the other just because of the party they represent.

exactly! parties only divide the nation, and members of the parties dont even honor the beliefs of the party all of the time. there never was supposed to be parties in the government, but people had such different views that they needed to
im not going to vote based on party, ill vote based on policy. and i cant wait until the new guys come in.

I am all for the first responders bill
The negative vote was part of the strategy to not allow any senate action to proceed until the chamber votes on a bill that will continue the Bush era tax cuts
Now that the tax cuts have passed this bill will pass

I guess I am a retard.
As a first responder and a Medic on EMS I can tell you that this isnt the first time we are declinded of any sort of disability or assistance for medical care after a mass cal. Hell, We are paid shit and treated like shit unless someone has a boo boo and needs us. Instead we are thanked by law suits and ptsd. It's all part of the gig I suppose.
