Got this in an e-mail..... it portrays what I've said all along.... Being a soldier ISN'T the tough part.....

When a soldier comes home, he finds it hard....

..to listen to his son whine about being bored.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a398/paulguther100/image003.jpg
....to keep a straight face when people complain about potholes.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a398/paulguther100/image004.jpg
....to be tolerant of people who complain about the hassle of getting ready for work.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a398/paulguther100/image005.jpg
....to be understanding when a co-worker complains about a bad night's sleep.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a398/paulguther100/image006.jpg
....to be silent when people pray to God for a new car.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a398/paulguther100/image007.jpg
..to be compassionate when a businessman expresses a fear of flying.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a398/paulguther100/image008.jpg
.....to be civil to people who complain about their jobs.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a398/paulguther100/image009.jpg
....to just walk away when someone says they only get two weeks of vacation a year.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a398/paulguther100/image010.jpg
.....to be forgiving when someone says how hard it is to have a new baby in the house.

The only thing harder than being a Soldier..

Is loving one.

Awe...that brought a little tear to my eye. Respect to all who serve and all those who love those who serve.

Great post Gutro!! It was worth the effort.

Just like loving a Soldier (Marine, Airman, Squid...etc) is worth the extra effort we have to put in to wait for our boys and love them even tho we sleep alone at night. Theres no better man than one who serves his country.

This post sums it all up.

I have had to bite my tongue many many times in regards to my civi friends and the things that "stress them out" I don't think they even have a clue what is truly stressful, so I just shake my head and keep my mouth shut
