So my dad found this in the yard when he was doing yard work. I want to know mainly if its worth anything. Im pretty sure its real silver and have no clue if those are real diamonds though. either way i think its pretty cool, if any of you have any information on this it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

That thing is really cool looking! What in the world is it? The only thing I can think of is maybe it's some kind of ceremonial broach to be used on a sash or something?

How big is it? Maybe it's a necktie tack?

Looks like a tie tack.
Most likely not an issued item. Probably a custom made thing for special occasions.

Hit up the next antiques road show =D

thats what i was thinking too. being silver and diamonds and all, you would think it had at least one marking on it from the maker

it's some sort of USMC EGA brooch or so.

It could be very well worth some money.

yep, i did it, no problem

so far i got 1 reply. he said:

It's a sweetheart pin. The Marine would give it to his girlfriend or wife. That's a nice looking one.

As to worth I have no clue. It depends on age but USMC stuff is a bit more collectible than the other services.

ill update if anything new comes up

Thanks a lot.

I feel real bad that somebody lost it, it probably meant a lot to that them.
