A cargo plane has crashed in mountains near the Afghan capital Kabul, government officials say.
Witnesses near the city told the BBC that they had heard a loud explosion. Police and soldiers were seen racing to the Puli-Charkhi area, east of Kabul.
Police said the crash had happened in a high, remote area and it could take several hours to reach the wreckage.
