VLADIMIR Putin has received a second birthday calendar of female journalism students in provocative poses - this time with taped mouths instead of pouts.

In the new calendar, six soberly clad students with taped mouths pose with burning political questions. "Who killed Anna Politkovskaya?" one asks the Russian Prime Minister, referring to the investigative journalist shot in Moscow four years ago this week.
Her killers are still at large.
"When will they free Mikhail Khodorkovsky?" another asks, of the former oil magnate jailed under Mr Putin.
The students called it an "alternative" to an erotic calendar published this week in which classmates at Moscow State University posed in lingerie and proclaimed their love for Mr Putin, who turned 58 on Thursday.
In that calendar, Miss March gushed: "You have put out the forest fires but I am still burning."
The creators said yesterday they wanted to show that students at the top journalism school did not all share the pro-Putin views expressed in the erotic calendar.
"The idea is that there are other people who study at this faculty who are interested in their profession, who are interested in what is going on in the country," said Yelizaveta Menshchikova, 21, who posed as Miss March.
"We have polar opposite viewpoints on what we want to say, on what our authorities are doing," said photographer Alexander Utkin, a second-year student.
The calendar is available at http://www.sasha-utkin.livejournal.com/ and the creators hope sponsors will pay for printing.
