The bloody suicide attack on the German soldiers (a dead, 14 injured) yesterday and today in the North of the country - reported Defense Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg (38, CSU) and Lieutenant General Rainer Glatz (59) the details. Tomorrow's body of killed Oberfeldwebels (d. 26, parachute battalion 313 from Seedorf) is transferred to Germany.
Crime scene: Pol-e-Khumri (Baghlan province, near Kunduz province in northern Afghanistan. Yesterday 13.50 pm: German soldiers guard the access road to a bridge. Suddenly breaks a Taliban dressed as a farmer in the vicinity of the soldiers in the air.
Under his peasant shirt he was wearing an explosive vest, filled with steel balls.
Particularly frightening: The detonation was so strong that the bullets pierced two Dingo vehicle doors, smashed a window.

A huge explosive device shredded the Governor and at least 14 of his companions when they hosted to the Friday prayer at a mosque.

Because: Mohammad Omar has often criticized the Germans, them ever become pilot, not determined enough against the Taliban. But still he was always convinced "Taliban eaters" which mercilessly with its militias fought against the radicals.

Approximately 85,000 soldiers from more than 40 countries are currently stationed in Afghanistan under the command of NATO. The Bundeswehr has up to 5350 soldiers in action - Mazar i Sharif, Kunduz, Burhanul and Kabul.
Since start of the mission are been 44 German soldiers killed and many injured.
