Officials at a U.S. military base are investigating a record number of suicides among soldiers.
According to figures, 14 suicides and six more suspected suicides have been reported so far this year involving soldiers stationed at Fort Hood, in Texas.
That figure includes the suspected murder-suicide of a soldier and his wife after their bodies were found in their home on the base on Sunday.

Sergeant Michael Timothy Franklin, 31, and his wife Jessie Ann, were found dead with gunshot wounds.
Two soldiers also died on Saturday in unrelated incidents that military officials are treating as suicides.
Sgt Franklin, of Middletown, had served two tours in Iraq and had returned from his most recent operation in January.
One of the other two soldiers was found dead from a gunshot wound in his home in a nearby town and the other, who served in the Gulf War, died at his Fort Hood home.

The figures, released by the Army Suicide Prevention Task Force, reveal there were 11 suicides in 2009 and 14 the year before that.

Fort Hood's senior commander Major General William Grimsley said in a statement that Army leaders at all levels were deeply concerned about the suicide trend and were looking for innovative ways to reverse it.
Maj Gen Grimsley said the base took suicide prevention seriously and was raising awareness of help programmes to soldiers and their families.
He said: 'Too many of our soldiers are seeking a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
'The loss of each and every soldier is tragic. And while I am saddened that our best efforts and wealth of programs were unable to help our 14 confirmed suicides, I take heart that thousands of Fort Hood soldiers and many more Army-wide take advantage of the resources dedicated to this challenge and continue to accomplish their mission while proudly serving their nation.'
Fort Hood is the base where U.S. Army major Nidal Malik Hasan shot dead 13 soldiers during a gun rampage.
Radical Islamic preacher Anwar al-Awlaki was linked to the shootings.
