DEFENCE bosses have agreed troops who have lost limbs in Afghanistan can go abroad for rehab in another victory for The Sun.

We revealed six months ago how badly wounded soldiers were raising their own cash for private three-week courses in the US.
MoD chiefs have now agreed to pay the £15,000 bill for treatment by firm Hanger in Missouri. The intensive sessions massively speed up recovery.
The change of heart is an admission the MoD do not have the facilities to help the injured returning from Afghanistan.
There are 18 soldiers who have lost three limbs in bomb blasts. One, Millies Awards hero Corporal Tom Neathway, 25, will be among the first to go to the US.

While I'm not trying to bash anybody, why again do Euros and Canadians whine about the US' healthcare system, when time and time again we hear remarkable stories about our facilities and generosity towards their medical needy?

While I'm not trying to bash anybody, why again do Euros and Canadians whine about the US' healthcare system, when time and time again we hear remarkable stories about our facilities and generosity towards their medical needy?

It's not about quality of the health system. It's about everyone having the ablility to afford healthcare.

In this case, we have the facilities because our soldiers have had these injuries far greater than other countries. And our doctors and physical therapists have the experience to know how to treat wounded soldiers.
